Comics That Care headline a show for Veterans in Los Angeles

This Thursday June 12th, Comics That Care and Pin-Ups for Vets will collaborate to create an evening of comedy and variety for veterans, in their time of need, at Volunteers of America’s VS 90 program. Five comics and seven pin-ups will take the stage to entertain, encourage and celebrate our veterans. Our heroes will be treated to a pizza dinner and some much needed comic relief. All the scheduled comics are veterans themselves. The line-up includes Justin Wood, P.J. Walsh, Thom Tran, Shawn Halpin and Mark Valley.

Pin-Ups for Vets was founded by Gina Elise (Granddaughter of WWII Army Veteran). The nonprofit organization creates WWII-style pin-up calendars that raise money to purchase state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment for VA and Military hospitals nationwide.

The Comics That Care motto is “Bringing laughter to those who brought us our freedom, in their time of need.”
